Beliefs and Values
I believe that
- Most people want to work and achieve and do their best. When people are doing their best and achieving and have a sense of purpose and a sense of pride an organisation becomes more effective, more successful and a great place to work
- "We as individuals, organisations, communities and societies depend on and are an integral part of the natural world that sustains us all. By ensuring that our actions sustain, care for and balance the diverse needs of people and the biodiversity and ecology of the Earth, we will enable a happier, more just, equal, sustainable and integrated world." (Hamilton Group Ethos)
- Humans are clever enough to change the way we behave, to develop the requisite technology and structures and to implement policies that enable us to live the Hamilton Group Ethos. We have proven time and again through history that we are the masters of our own destiny. When we choose to live in peace and with full respect for those around us and with the planet, we will achieve this.
We each have to start from where we are and practice change. We have to do this with love; and knowing that we will not always get it right; and with the resilience to respectfully steer ourselves back on course until we can hold to the new steadily.
What I love
- My family and friends who are spread across the world and some of whom I see all to rarely.
- This beautiful planet with it’s mountains, forests, desserts, oceans and the vast array of "Life" that inhabits it.
- The intricacy and complexity of the ecosystems that support us
- Cycling, diving, mountain walking
- Constantly Learning
